I. Call to order
Ka William called to order the regular meeting of the Batangas Alliance at 1530 hrs. on November 30, 2007 in G.V. Office, Fiesta World Mall, Maraouy, Lipa City.
II. Roll call
Wormtongue conducted a roll call. The following persons were present:
MEG – Sir Manny
BLAST – Ka William
LAGALAG – Kalim
ALAS – Poloi
BATAS – Wormtongue
III. Issues
a) Apology to B.A.:
Wormtongue apologized to B.A. for BATAS no-shows on game commitments.
A personal resolve of encouraging the members was expressed.
b) Ambivalent Members:
(Need to know basis)
c) Marshals:
Discussed was the Marshals role in a game.
Although not discussed comprehensively, it was agreed that members should be reminded to refrain from any comments against Marshals and that the ruling made by him will be followed religiously during the game. You can however appeal but only after the game is finished.
d) Application of Batangas Renegades to the Alliance:
It was brought up that Batangas Renegades C.O. Sir Bong followed-up
their application to join the Batangas Alliance on the Sunday after the AGL organized Nasugbu game through a text message via cellphone.
It was resolved that having completed three B.A. sanctioned games (Dahilig, Cavite & Nasugbu respectively), for evaluation, Batangas Renegades, generally residents of Talisay Batangas will be formally accepted as a member team of the Batangas Alliance after the attendance of all members of its group in the next B.A. sanctioned game, submitting themselves to the final requisite of a 30 minute orientation to be given by the Commanders of all the Alliance teams.
e) Amendment on the B.A. 350 f.p.s. CQB gun limit:
Discussed was the costly downgrade of new guns in the market coming ‘out of the box’ with already more than 350 fps. Sir Kalim had reservations saying putting up the fps to 380 is still too strong for CQB.
Finally however, it was resolved that responsibly; A.E.G’s with 380 fps maximum will now be allowed in all CQB games.
f) Batangas Alliance member teams ‘Playing Outside Area Of Responsibility’:
Deliberated was the significant probability of any airsoft team and/or
players endangering another team’s integrity or its existence on an extreme case, by playing outside their area of responsibility, and playing without previous consultation to and inside the other team’s area of responsibility. A team’s area of responsibility or team territory is defined as the City or Town where the active team was organized, where the majorities of its members live and is usually recognized by the community i.e. with a PNP go-ahead perhaps, with brgy permission etc.
In order to prevent any untoward liability or jeopardized an established team caused by airsoft related mess done by players or teams playing incognito, it was resolved that any B.A. team who intend to play in another teams territory, must at least consult or notify the said team who is responsible for the area so that this mother team who is usually more familiar with the area or the people around it can properly advice and provide useful & safety tips to the players.
g) Sanction on Zombies:
A few incidents of the Zombie attitude were discussed and some team members (need to know basis) pinpointed.
It was decided that to further eliminate supermen from creeping in a growing alliance, players will be given up until 9 warnings on complaints regarding his attitude and will be completely banned from the alliance on the 10th violation.
It was further resolved that commanders from each team should primarily be responsible in informing his teammate about the said attitude.
h) Use of AEG’s above B.A. fps limits
It was reiterated that the use of AEG’s above the 500 fps limit, is still under no circumstances allowed among alliance team members in any games within any area inside Batangas province whether it be an alliance sanctioned game or not.
i) Alliance Pocket Patch/Start of B.A. Fund/Registration of member
Discussion ensued on what type of BDU should the patch be placed and where since the original agreement was the U.S. Woodland camo will be the alliance uniform.
It was resolved that since there are teams with squad patches on the right arm and team patches on the left, the B.A. patch will be placed on the left side pocket of the upper BDU of any kind. Nearer to the heart if I may quote Ka William as saying.
It was further resolved that from the original price of Php 65.00 each, the limited patches (which may not be reproduced without alliance permission) will be sold to members at Php 70.00 each with the Php 5.00 being our starting fund.
All members getting the patch are also required to give their names, call signs, and the type of AEG’s they have for new registration and archive organization on our database. Members are also encouraged to inform their commanders when changing AEG’s, and at the same time declaring where or to whom they have disposed the old ones.
Patches were distributed as follows:
ALAS 14 -
BLAST 30 -
LAGALAG 20 -
MEG 5 PAID
IV. New business
a) It was agreed that we will seek an audience with Batangas PNP-Provincial Director Col. Quimio as a step to work hand in hand with the law-enforcers and thus have more peace of mind in our games.
b) Lagalag has come up with a plan of a big game asking for the Alliance support and we had a counter-proposal pending Lagalag’s final decision.
c) We are eyeing a nice venue ‘God-willing’ that could educate and make airsoft more accessible to the people. (Need to know basis)
V. Adjournment
Meeting was adjourned at around 1730 hrs.
